In 2014, the digital division of McDonald's began to expand its vision for a more connected and engaged customer. This spurred a need to better express and depict that vision for senior management as well as internal and external audiences alike. The more the organization could understand the potential in digital and mobile experiences of the future, the more they could play a role in optimizing the vision as it becomes reality in both restaurant experience and with the connected customer.
So McDonald's tapped Sponge® to develop and express the vision across the digital landscape to help introduce new mobile technologies to its management, operational and crew audiences across the U.S. and abroad.
Sponge® has partnered with McDonald's since 2014 to build the stories that capture the brand's vision for digital experiences for the here and now as well as the near future.
The objective across each effort is to inspire the broader organization to better understand the vision for the future and to consider the magnitude of all it makes possible; whether stories of new mobile and digital experiences that streamline operations, enhance the customer experience or demonstrate more convenient methods of engaging with the McDonald's Mobile App.
